Born and raised in Suzhou, China, came to Canada after high school graduation, I am a self-motivated and detail-oriented UBC Integrated Engineering student equipped with mobile development, electrical design skills as well as leadership and project management experiences through actively engaging in various academic activities and involving in community development.   • Improved CMS platform backend using PHP and MySQL, and significantly reduced document turnaround time
  • Re-designed CMS frontend with corporation’s common look and feel with JavaScript and customized Bootstrap framework

  • Supervised APSC 150 lab section and clarified lab information to students, which results in zero incidents occurred
  • Guided students preparing for lab, and 95% of students finished project on time or ahead of schedule
  • Tested and graded students’ prototypes by using oscilloscopes and multimeters. All the students got their marks and feedback in 24 hours

TECHNICAL PROJECTS

TRIUMF Linear Actuator Connector     September 2015 – May 2016
  • Building prototypes of the newly designed actuator by using 3D printer and SolidWorks independently with minimal assistance
  • Managing online working platform and published new talks/schedules every day, and more than 20 documents are available online till now
  • Verifying designed parameters and contacted TRIUMF supervisor and professors before sensitive information publishing, which helps me learn professional communication skills
  • Simulating control systems with Simulink in MATLAB and increased sensors accuracy

 

Automatic Keyless Entry System        October 2014 – April 2015
  • Designed a new door lock which is unlocked through the passcode
  • Innovated passcode entry method which benefits elderly and people with disability
  • Programmed the control system for high reliability and safety in C/C++ environment
  • Introduced our product to guests at Industrial Night More than 30 people tried our product and gave good ratings
